This Extra Small Nomad starter cluster, designed for up to 50 small jobs without high availability, provisions three 2 vCPU/8GB RAM and three 4 vCPU/16GB RAM Azure VMs. Compute instances are the dominant cost driver, accounting for over 90% of the $685 monthly total. The disabled high availability significantly reduces cost but introduces a single point of failure for the cluster.
