Why the totals differ

Google Cloud is significantly cheaper for this Extra Small Elasticsearch OSS configuration, costing effectively nothing compared to AWS at $203/month and Azure at $180/month. This dramatic difference is driven by Google Cloud's sustained use discounts, which are not applicable to the other clouds' on-demand pricing models. While Google Cloud's on-demand pricing is competitive, its sustained use discounts for this specific machine family and region make it an outlier. If the workload were to scale beyond a single node or require high availability, the cost landscape would change significantly.
